‘SOUVENIRS’

MARY MELLISH

Exciting new work by abstract landscape artist Mary Mellish goes on show at New Hall Huntingdon Road Cambridge from Saturday 24th November for one month.  The landscapes and seascapes of Britain, France and the Caribbean inspire her latest offering – a collection of unique responses ‘Souvenirs’ from each location.

“I found amazing blues and gold in the Caribbean and on the West Coast of Ireland.  There are fascinating shapes to be found on the piers and architecture of the Kent coast.  But it’s the power of the sea, the waves and vastness of the sky that overwhelms me.”

As a freelance artist and teacher Mary works with adults and children delivering creative workshops based on a wide variety of themes and skills including sculpture and printing.  However, it is her passion for landscape and the sea that she pursues through her paintings.
